Thursday, June 6, 2013

Part 14 is here.

30 left.  30!  Approximate value, games, value/game are the numbers.

30. Emmitt Smith 169 226 .748, between Ken Anderson and Ronnie Lott, #18 overall, knocks, coincidentally, Aikman right off the list.

29. Doug Atkins 171 205 .834, between Walter Payton and Drew Brees, #5 overall, knocks Dave Robinson off the list

28. Steve Young 171 169 1.012, only 27 left, and we have a new number one. Torry Holt gets bounced

27. Tony Gonzalez 172 254 .677,  between Leo Nomellini and Terrell Owens, #24 overall, Harry Carson is off the list

26. Bob Lilly 172 196 .878, between Bednarik and Faulk, #4 overall, Jack Pardee is out

25. Anthony Munoz 177 185 .957, only 24 left, and we have a new number one.  Larry Little is gone.

24. Tom Brady 178 177 1.006, only 23 left and we have a new number one.  Sam Mills is out

23. Jim Brown 179 118 1.517, Brown runs, just runs away with it.  Tiki Barber’s out

Here's my current selection for All Star Game Rosters.  I'll do it again at the 80 game mark.

Each league has 34 players.  There have to be at least 5 starters/3 relievers for each league.  Each league had 13 active pitchers last year, so I'll make that my target; I still wouldn't ever have an all star roster with more than 3 relievers.  We'd need 40 players a side before I'd do that. Both leagues use a DH.  Every team needs to be represented.

The WAR is B-Ref+Davenport.
